Check the security code first
Genuine IGET packaging carries a security code — an orange Cypheme code on newer boxes, a scratch-and-scan QR on older ones — that verifies on the manufacturer's own page. A missing code, a code that fails, or a code already used by someone else all mean the same thing: do not use the device.
Read the print quality
Fakes are usually let down by the box before the device. Blurred logos, off-colour panels, spelling errors, mismatched fonts, missing warning text and puff counts that do not match the range are all common tells.
Price that makes no sense
Genuine stock has a floor price set by what it costs to make and land legitimately. A listing far below every other seller is not a deal — it is a signal about what is in the box.
Feel the build
Loose mouthpieces, rattling internals, uneven seams, a charging port that sits crooked and labels that peel are all signs of a device that has not been through quality control.
